FEATURES · IN-APP WIDGET

Help inside your app, from the same articles.

This is Northwind, a made-up invoicing app. The help button in its corner is the HelpLayer widget, connected to Northwind's help center. It's live: click around and ask it anything.

WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS GET

Answers where the question comes up, without leaving your app.

Ask a question

AI answers from your articles, with the sources, follow-up questions and thumbs up or down.

Help for this page

Articles that fit the page your customer is on, from its title and address. No AI, so no credits.

Popular articles

What your readers opened most in the last 30 days.

Contact support

When an answer didn't help, the form opens with the question filled in, linked to that answer.

It speaks your page's language when your help center has it, and fills the screen on phones.

INSTALL

One line, before </body>

Settings → Advanced → Embeddable Widget gives you the line with your help center in it. It works in any website or web app, with any framework.

<script src="https://helplayer.app/api/widget/embed" data-slug="your-help-center" defer></script>

Put it on the left with data-position="left". Or leave out the floating button with data-launcher="false" and open it from your own, as Northwind's Help button does:

SupportWidget.open();
SupportWidget.open("How do I export an invoice?");

Put your help center in your app.

The widget comes with every plan, the free one too.
