Send a postcard
Send a photo from your trip to your people's Home Screen, with a line if you like.
You can send a postcard once you've paired with someone or joined a group. It lands on their Postcards widget and at the top of their Atlas, with your city, the time there and how far away you are.
Send from the Postcards page
Open Postcards and tap Send a postcard.
Pick a photo from the row. Ricordo offers today's best photos, or your latest ones on a day without any.
To use another photo, tap Library, or tap Take to take one now. A photo you take is saved to your library like any other.
If you like, tap Add a line (optional) and write up to 140 characters.
Under Send to, tap people or groups to add or leave them out. Everyone is chosen to start with.
Tap the send button, such as Send to everyone or Send to Ana.
The preview shows the city and the time there, the way your people will see it. Send to appears only when you have more than one person or group.
Other ways to send
From any photo: open it and tap Send.
From someone's page: on Postcards, tap them under Your people, then tap Send to and their name.
On a day away: tap Send a postcard home? on the Atlas, or tap the evening nudge.
After you send
You'll see Sent to and their names. To check who has opened it, find it under Sent and received on the Postcards page.
Tip: Send isn't offered for videos or for photos brought in from Google Photos.
Tip: The Postcard button next to Send makes a designed card to share or save. It doesn't send anything to your people.
