Get started with postcards
What postcards are, where to find them, and how to sign in so you can start sending.
Postcards send a photo from your trip straight to your people's Home Screen, with where you are, the time there and how far away you are. They're just between you: only the people you pair with or share a group with ever see them.
Find Postcards
On the Atlas, tap the Postcards card.
Or tap the gear at the top of the Atlas to open Settings, then tap Postcards.
On iPad, tap Postcards in the sidebar.
Before you've paired with anyone, the Postcards page shows a short film of how it works. Tap it to watch with sound.
Sign in with Apple
Postcards need a sign-in so Ricordo knows who's who. Your library stays on your iPhone, and Ricordo doesn't receive your email address.
Open Postcards.
Tap Sign in with Apple.
Follow the steps on screen.
You only sign in once: the same sign-in is used for Sharing and Together. You can also sign in from Settings → Sharing.
Next steps
Invite your partner or a friend, or start a group for your family.
Add the Postcards widget to your Home Screen, and ask your people to add it too.
Send a postcard from your trip.
What leaves your iPhone
Only the photo you send, resized and without its hidden details, such as where it was taken. The place travels as a city name. Ricordo's server deletes each postcard after 30 days.
Tip: Tap ? at the top of the Postcards page for a quick reminder of how it all works.
