Use the timer during a game

Every game has a timer in its menu, for a sand-timer moment or a time limit.

1. Tap ⋯ (in the bar of a running score game, or at the top right of a rounds game).

2. Tap Timer.

3. Choose a time, from 0:15 to 5:00.

4. Tap Start.

The ring counts down and turns amber in the last five seconds. At zero, it chimes (unless Sounds is off in Settings) and, on iPhone, gives a tap.

Pause or start over

• Tap Pause, then Resume to carry on.

• Tap Reset to go back to the full time.

• When time is up, tap Start again.

Tap Done to close the timer. Closing it stops the countdown. The timer keeps the time you chose for next time.

Tip: To time every turn without opening the menu, give the game a turn timer. See the guide on giving each turn a time limit.
