Fix someone who's grouped wrong in People
Merge two groups of the same person, remove faces that aren't them, change their portrait, or hide them.
Faces are grouped automatically, so now and then one person is split in two, or someone else slips in. You can put it right on the person's page.
Tap anyone on the People page to open their page. It shows the countries you've photographed them in, your Trips together and every photo of them by year.
Two groups are the same person
On either person's page, tap Same as….
Pick who else this is.
Their photos come together as one person. If only one of the two has a name, that name is kept.
Remove faces that aren't them
Tap Review faces.
Tap every face that isn't them.
Tap the Not … button. It shows their name and how many faces you picked.
Choose their portrait
Tap Review faces.
Tap the one face you like best.
Tap Use as their portrait.
Rename or hide someone
Tap … at the top right.
Tap Rename, or Hide from People for someone you don't want to see.
To bring someone back, tap Show hidden people at the bottom of the People page, open them, tap …, then Show in People.
Tip: On the People page, touch and hold a face for quick fixes: Rename, This is me and Hide.
