What the awards mean
What Comeback Kid, Start to finish, Photo finish and Biggest round mean, and when a game earns one.
The winner card can carry up to two awards, worked out from how the game went. You'll find them under the places.
The awards
Comeback Kid, like "Maria, from last to first". The winner was alone in last place at some point before the end, and came back to win.
Start to finish, like "Maria led all game". The winner led on their own after every round, or every score.
Photo finish, like "Maria by 2". The winner won by 2 points or fewer, or by no more than 3% of the winning score when that's more.
Biggest round, like "Leo, 42 in round 5". The most points anyone scored in a single round. It can go to someone other than the winner. Only in games scored in rounds where the highest score wins.
In games where the lowest score wins, last place means the highest total.
When a game earns one
One player won alone. A tie earns no awards.
The game had two or more players and at least three rounds, or three scores in a running-score game.
Phase 10 has no awards, because it isn't won on points. Games played in sets have none either.
A card shows two awards at most: Comeback Kid or Start to finish first, then Photo finish, then Biggest round.
