Running score or rounds: which to choose
The difference between the two ways to score, and which suits your game.
Every game in Tallynight is scored one of two ways. When you pick a game from the list, the right one is chosen for you. You can still change it on the setup page, under How you score.
Running score
Add points as they happen.
Each player has a big tile with + and −.
Points go on whenever someone scores, one player at a time.
You can undo the last score, or fix any score in the scoring log.
It can show whose turn it is.
Good for games like Cornhole, Basketball, Charades and anything played in sets.
Rounds
Everyone scores each round.
A table with a row for each round, and everyone's total at the bottom.
At the end of a round, you type everyone's points on one keypad.
It shows who deals next.
Tap any round to fix it.
Good for card games like Hearts and Spades, and for dominoes.
Changing your mind
How you score is set when the game starts and can't be changed during it. To switch, start a new game.
Tip: The Quick start tiles on the home screen open the setup with Running score or Rounds already chosen.
