Change your home city and how far counts as away
Pick the city you live in, and the distance at which your photos start counting as a trip.
Ricordo picks your home as the city where you take photos on the most days, and works out your trips from it. By default, photos more than 50 km from home count as away.
Change your home or the distance
On the Atlas, tap Settings (the gear at the top). On iPad, tap Settings in the sidebar.
Under Home and trips, tap the Home: row.
Under Where do you live?, tap your city. The list shows the cities where you've taken photos on the most days.
Under Count as away beyond, choose 10 km, 25 km, 50 km, 100 km or 200 km.
Tap Set as home.
Ricordo works out your trips again with the new home and distance.
How trips are found
Photos more than the chosen distance from home count as away.
Away photos in a row make one trip.
A trip ends when you take photos at home again, or after more than 2 days with none away.
Over 60 days away is a long stay, not a trip.
If you've moved
When most of your recent photos are from somewhere else, the Atlas asks Living in … now?
Tap Make … home to switch your home.
Tap I moved here in … to keep your old home for the time before, so trips you took from there still count.
Tap Not now to leave things as they are.
Tip: When Ricordo isn't sure about your home, the Atlas asks Is … home? Tap Yes, that’s home to confirm it, or Change to pick another city.
A short distance like 10 km turns outings to nearby towns into trips; a long one like 200 km keeps only bigger journeys.
