Tidy up your photos a little each day
Swipe through two short rounds a day to keep or delete similar shots, copies and blurry photos.
Cleaning up doesn't have to happen all at once. Today's tidy-up gives you two quick rounds of ten photos a day: swipe left to delete, right to keep. The best shot is always kept.
Do a round
Open Settings and tap Clean up, or tap the Clean up widget on your Atlas.
On the Today's tidy-up card, tap Start round 1.
Check why the photo is suggested: Similar shot, Saved twice or Out of focus.
Swipe left to delete it, or right to keep it. You can also tap the trash or the checkmark below.
After ten photos, look over what's going. Tap any photo to keep it after all.
Tap the red Delete button and confirm when iOS asks. Kept everything? Tap Finish round.
For similar shots and copies, the photo that's kept sits in the corner, marked Kept. Tap it to see it big and compare. Tap the undo arrow to go back one photo.
After a round
Tap Start round 2 to go on, or Later to stop. After two rounds you're Done for today; tap See you tomorrow. The card shows how many suggestions are left and about how many days they'll take at this pace.
Photos you keep aren't suggested again. Deleted photos go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days, so you can still get them back.
Tip: To stop early, tap the × at the top. You'll see what you picked before anything is deleted, and closing that screen deletes nothing.
Tip: Two rounds a day are always included. If One more round shows a sparkle, more rounds come with Ricordo Plus.
